As Project Manager (m/f/d) within the Renewables Team, for PV Project Planning and Implementation, your focus will be on large scale PV projects connected to the grid. However, additional knowledge with projects within the field of battery technologies will be beneficial. These technologies are expected to be more and more coupled to PV projects (either for isolated mini-grids or grid-tied applications).
Located within the Tractebel Team in Bad Vilbel, near Frankfurt, your tasks will include: 


  • Execution and management of renewable energy projects (focus on PV) in Europe, Africa and Asia
  • Technical due diligence of PV projects in the development, realization or operation phase
  • Preparation of technical studies, feasibility studies and planning for PV projects
    (including technical evaluation of main components, design review, solar resource assessment, energy yield calculation, site assessment, PV plant layout preparation, design review)
  • Conducting Tender procedure and contract negotiations for suppliers within the projects (e.g., preparation of technical specifications, review of performance test procedures, etc.)

What we need
  • University degree in electrical engineering (master's degree or equivalent)
  • Several years of professional experience as an engineer in the renewable energy sector; experience in due diligence, planning, tendering and implementation of PV projects is a strong advantage
  • Additional experience with battery technologies is a plus
  • Self-motivated and strong interest in the renewable energy industry
  • Very good language skills in English (oral and written); good knowledge of other languages such as French or Spanish is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and on your own initiative in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
  • Proficiency in PVSyst, MS Office, Autocad
  • Knowledge of working with Helios3D or similar software would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel and work on projects abroad
