As a Project Engineer (m/f/d) PV Project Planning and Assessment you will focus on large PV projects with grid connection. Your work environment is the Renewable Energies division in our GE4 department. This position is located in Germany at our Headquaters in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt.

Your Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Engineer position for execution of Renewable Energy generation projects (focus on PV) in Europe, Africa and Asia
  • Technical due diligence of PV projects in development, realization or operation
  • Preparation of technical studies and planning for PV projects, feasibility studies (including technical assessment of major components; design review; solar resource assessment; energy yield calculation, site assessment; preparation of PV plant layout; design review)
  • Conducting tender procedures and contract negotiations for supplies in PV projects (e.g., preparation of technical specifications, review of performance test procedures, etc.)
  • Another and beneficial aspect of this position comes from the areas of battery technologies that are likely to be increasingly coupled with PV projects (either for isolated minigrids or grid-connected applications).

  • Graduation in electrical engineering (Master of Science or Engineer diploma) or similar
  • 2-5 years professional engineering experience, including 1 year of professional experience in due diligence, planning, tendering and implementation of PV projects would be of high value
  • Experience in renewable energy projects including battery technologies is a plus
  • Proficiency in PVSyst, MS Office, Autocad
  • Professional handling with HomerPro would be a plus
  • Availability for business trips
  • Strong interest to work in the Renewable Energy sector
  • Ability to work self-driven and independent in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team
  • Very good standard of English in oral and written form, Good standard in a further language like French or Spanish is an advantage
