YOUR FIELD OF ACTIVITY

As a Hydrology Expert (m/f/d) you’ll be part of the OneWater organisation and report to the Director of the Cli-mate, Resilience and Environment unit. This newly created and growing unit is composed of almost 30  Environmental Engineers, Hydrologists, Water Resources Experts, Geomatics and Climate Change Spe-cialists based in Germany and France. As experienced technical expert, you work within flexible project teams at the realization of international projects, from our headquarters in Bad Vilbel (Rhein Main area), Germany, and abroad. You’ll contribute to foster internal collaboration, promote knowledge sharing with-in and outside our unit, and further expand our experience in complex projects related to flood protec-tion, water resource management, river basin plans, irrigation, water transfer or disaster risk management in the context of climate change. Your field of activity includes:

 

  • Independently provide key input to the preparation of masterplans and (pre-)feasibility studies
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals
  • Contribute to the technical development of the team and our services
  • Travel as required

YOUR PROFILE

  • Civil Engineer (Dr. Ing./Dipl. Ing. or MSc TH/University) as acknowledged expert specialising in hydrology, water resources management or climate change.
  • Minimum 5 years, ideally 10 years of professional experience, overseas assignments as a plus
  • Proven expert in various core topics like hydrology, hydrological modelling, water resources management, and climate change impact assessment, as well as extensive interdisciplinary competence regarding water and energy infrastructure projects
  • Expertise in cryosphere, hydraulic modelling and sediment modelling as a plus
  • Proficiency in coding (Python, R) and use of GIS tools
  • Competencies in the preparation of proposals
  • Business fluency in English, further language skills would be of advantage (preferably German, French)
